Megan showed up this morning and it's really nice to see her. For a while it seemed like she was visiting almost monthly but it had been more than six months since we've been together. She came to see the baby and help with whatever I need. It bothers me a little that she came but my moms have yet to see their grandson and haven't even talked about a visit. Megan's stay is open-ended, she bought a one-way ticket, and said she'd stick around as long as I felt I needed her.
I've always been closer to Rachel than Megan, but she does have an amazing ability to be there and support her family. She has been a huge helping hand when my girls were born. She also dropped everything to be with Rachel during her surgery last year. Not to mention she almost single-handedly organized Rachel's wedding. I asked her this morning if she would like to help me with my wedding planning while she's here and she seemed excited by the idea.
The girls love their Aunt Megan too and were thrilled to see her. It will be nice to have a babysitter and be able to have a little more time alone with Jayson while she is here.
I've been sad a lot lately. Crying in the evenings when Jayson is at work. I'm hoping having Megan around can cheer me up.
We didn't really do anything to celebrate yesterday. Rachel and Guy went to the beach, but we just stayed home. I was a little jealous, but joining them with a newborn was not an option.
