So...this happened the other day:
They're hard to photograph because I used metallic nail polish. I'm quite please with how they turned out. I think they're adorable (and very menacing, of course :P). They took an absurd amount of time and left hand painting was ridiculously hard but I figure it's good practice for fine motor skills used in surgery. That's what I'm telling myself anyway.
Left ring finger is my favorite. It's the neatest one and the best shaped nail.
I didn't clean up around the edges because I was afraid I'd spill nail polish remover all over myself and melt them. Then they'd look like they were painted by Salvidor Dali. Salvidor Dalek?
My only issue with them is that the lens didn't turn out the right color. The polish I used was the perfect shimmery light blue but apparently on the bronzey body background it looks purple. Ah,well. I'm still quite pleased with my silliness :)
After some of the excess crud around the edges had come off:

On a related note, I saw this yesterday:
I was super excited when I saw this but then slightly disappointed when I realized the vehicle was black and not blue. Ah well, still pretty delightful.
OK, I'm done sharing my nerdiness for the moment :P Off to grocery shop, buy kitty litter, and perhaps investigate some framing supplies.
