There are only two others that mirror this one - the birth of my children
We had our wedding celebration on June 21. Why do I call it a celebration? Well because we were legally married March 17. It was a quiet small ceremony. Very impersonal. Very... blah really. I tried to make it special but without everyone there it was just ... blah. This one we had all the local family present, many friends come in. Even my Thing 2 flew in. It was nearly perfect. Perfect would have been to have my Thing 1 come along as well.
There was so much food - that is what I get for marrying into an Italian family. I love them though. It was a busy 4 days. I needed a vacation from my life after those 4 days. So much to do and get done. So much gathering stuff. Many trips to the airport to gather up friends flying in. Many trips to motels - we were their daily shuttle service. Many sight seeing expeditions. There was deliveries of rentals, baking, food prep, hemming of dresses and pants. Oh wow.. it was crazy times!
In the end.. it all went very well. I got to 'marry' my sweetie in front of family and friends. Celebrate this great day with them. Even take some pretty amazing photos at sunset on the beach.
Would I do it all again? Hell yes - with him I'd do it every single weekend if that is what he wanted :)
