Burna Boy got the party started by putting on a dynamic performance of “It’s Plenty,” “Last Last,” and “Alone” that energized the crowd. The stage was then taken over by Rema, who performed “Calm Down” and “Holiday” with his distinctive Afrobeat flavor.
Tems finished the set with a medley of “Crazy Tings,” “Free Mind,” “Essence,” and “Higher,” accompanied by backup dancers. Tems recently won the Grammy Award for Best Melodic Rap Performance.
Not only did Post Malone perform for the crowd before the game, but there was also the halftime show. He featured 21 Savage, who is on the song’s original studio version, in his performance of “Rockstar.”
The halftime show was just the most recent in a string of triumphs for Tems. She was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song for her work on the soundtrack to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever shortly after winning the Grammy. Burna Boy’s most recent album, Love, Damini, which was released last summer, exemplified his artistic versatility.
The debut album by Rema, Rave and Roses, and his collaborations with other musicians, such as FKA twigs, have been causing a stir.
