she placed her hand against my heart
and closed her eyes to an
unheard rhythm
the warmth of her hand
against me
did i imagine in that very
moment
we synched
i felt her closer to me
than if our limbs entwined
she held me in her gaze
and in her hand
and in this slow urgency
i felt a rush behind the calm
as if a hunger woke
waiting to speak
and i havent quite figured out
if youre halfway to knowing
