In addition to the returning cast, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will also introduce a new villain to the MCU: Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors.
Kang is a time-traveling villain who has been a thorn in the side of many Marvel heroes in the comics, and his inclusion in the film suggests that the Ant-Man series may delve deeper into the realm of time travel and the multiverse.

The teaser also shows glimpses of the Quantum Realm, the subatomic world where Scott Lang first discovered his shrinking powers. It’s a place of great power and potential, and it’s been hinted that the Quantum Realm may play a bigger role in the upcoming film.
One of the most exhilirating things about the Quantum Realm is the potential for quantum computing, a cutting-edge technology that could revolutionize fields like medicine, finance, and even national security.
Quantum computing remains in its infancy, but the possibilities are endless.
The Quantum Realm has also been hinted as a key in the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe’s story and it is likely that the movie will tie-in with the larger MCU event and the upcoming Disney+ series.
The Quantum Realm has previously been referenced in Doctor Strange, Avengers: Endgame, and WandaVision. So, it is clear that Marvel has big plans for this mysterious and powerful place.
It seems that director Peyton Reed is delivering on his promise to make the third Ant-Man film an undeniably epic experience.
“People felt like, Oh, these are fun little palate cleansers after a gigantic Avengers movie,” Reed said in December. “For this third one, I said, I don’t want to be the palate cleanser anymore. I want to be the big Avengers movie.”

Quantumania marks the return of some beloved characters from the franchise, including Michael Douglas playing Hank Pym and Michelle Pfeiffer portraying Janet van Dyne.
Fans can look forward to seeing these characters back in action and seeing how they fit into the story. In addition to these returning characters, Freaky’s Kathryn Newton has also joined the cast as Scott’s now-adult daughter Cassie Lang.
This is a fresh addition to the cast and fans are thrilled to see what kind of dynamic Newton brings to the film.
But perhaps the most intriguing addition to the cast is Jonathan Majors as Kang, a nefarious villain from the comics. Kang is expected to play a major role throughout Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and fans can expect to see him causing trouble for Scott throughout the film.
Majors first appeared in the MCU as “He Who Remains” in the Disney+ series Loki, and fans can look forward to seeing him in action in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and in 2025’s Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
The trailer provides a hint of the action that is to come and shows Kang delivering quite the beating to Scott.
