Join Matt Murdock, the classic Marvel hero known as Daredevil — this time played by Charlie Cox in the upcoming Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again.
After bringing Matt Murdock’s story to life on the hit series Daredevil and bringing a more humorous take on his role in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Cox is thrilled that fans are getting another unique take on the famous lawyer/ mayor. Born Again will be released in 2024.
“This has to be a reincarnation; it has to be different; otherwise, why are we doing it?” the English actor stated in an interview with NME released on Thursday.
“My opinion is this character works best when he’s geared towards a slightly more mature audience. My instinct is that on Disney+, it will be dark, but it probably won’t be as gory.”
While Cox hasn’t had a chance to explore the new Daredevil series yet, he’s sure it won’t just be an expansion of his previous Netflix iteration. Instead, he expects something fresh and unexpected from this adaptation.
“I would say to those people [asking for a continuation], we’ve done that,” he stated. “Let’s take the things that really worked, but can we broaden? Can we appeal to a slightly younger audience without losing what we’ve learned about what works?”

Daredevil fans can expect twice the content with Born Again. With 18 thrilling episodes, Cox is ready for a thrilling ride as he once again dons the iconic hood.
“They said to me, ‘We’re going to be shooting in 2023,’” he recalled.
