A while back I went to be examined for service by the military. I had to end my examination early because they heard my heart making a faint blowing sound. Whatever that means. The doctor I spoke with told me it was probably nothing but they would still have to discharge me. However, I could get it checked at a hospital and If I was clear, I could retry for the army again. I felt sad that day. As if I had lost a competition or something. Since then I’ve got it checked out. The doctor I checked it with said he couldn’t even hear anything. Which should mean I could reapply to the army if I want and when I want. Good news indeed.

I’ve no idea what kind of a job I would want to get otherwise after finishing high school. Being a waiter? Working at Mcdonald’s? Fuck that. I might also make some friends in the military.

In my home country, there’s a test you can do to get into university courses. It only tests language and math. Luckily for me I’m pretty good at math and English and I can always improve my native language. Honestly, I’m kind of dumbfounded over the fact that some students spend their whole high school years studying to get into a good university when you can just buy a exam preparation course for like 200 dollars, study for, say, a month and get the same results. I’ve downloaded a book on how to prepare for it and I have enough money for a course. I’ve also copied some flashcards containing hundreds of words to expand my vocabulary. Furthermore, I always keep a book next to my bed so I can improve my reading. The problem is that I often lose to my laziness. I have a habit tracker app which I plan to use to create a study routine. But I keep putting it off. Maybe I should investigate how many days I have left of my winter leave. Perhaps I should create a habit of doing a certain amount of flashcards everyday. Yes! Genius! I can block certain apps with screentime and have the habit tracker app give a notification right after I wake up. Maybe 10 words after I wake up everyday? I should probably also read that book with all of the prefixes. And make flashcards of them too.
