it was aaron's turn to wake up with joaquin, so i scored an extra hour or so of sleep today. eff to the yeah. we enjoyed having an empty house for the first time since june 12th, really. can you believe almost two straight weeks of visitors? sprinkled in that action was a trip to SF and a trip to NJ for work. i also had to work while everyone was in town, which was a bit of a shitshow.

but we survived to tell the tale, so that's the important thing. and here and there we had some really wonderful moments and created some great memories. so there's that too.

but now! we have a day to prepare ourselves before we get on a plane to minneapolis this friday morning. this feels like the definition of insanity to me.

other things i accomplished recently:

  • ran my longest run since october 2011 on sunday: 9 miles in 1 hour and 23 minutes
  • completed a report based on the research i conducted on jun 12th & jun 17th
  • maintained my sanity (mostly) depsite having 8-9 people in my house at any given time over the past 12 days

anyway. today i ran a respectable 3.28 miles, and i have my longest training run so far coming up this weekend while i'm in minneapolis (10 miles) and my next longest training run scheduled for july 5th or 6th - while i'm still in minneapolis. i might have to push the 11-miler to when i'm back in LA, methinks.

ack. i gotta go pack now. i have a busy day of work and hanging with my kid coming up tomorrow before i officially fly the coop and go on 'vacation' to the lovely midwest.

laterz.

Ugh. Just entering into this phase of my summer. NON STOP GUESTS FOR WEEKS ON END and then a family visit!

See you at the end of it all!
