Mood in a downward motion. What I wrote on the extra long bus ride (taken very deliberately for some time to myself regardless of other passengers) from my therapist's office to the apartment I currently call home.

~~~~~
I miss
the opportunity of a meadow
spread as wide as the sky above it
In this
small place overbuilt and heavy
the sky an afterthought through strangling crowds
Crumbling
under the weight and depth and length
of defects and shortcomings
weaknesses and insufficiencies and inabilities
in the midst of too much
not enough
haves
have nots
I miss
the luxury of a slumbering lake
reflecting the clouds in the sky above it
