After so long

The hand has finally caught up to me,

I never knew how long

I would be able to run,

Apparently not long enough.

For the tick tick ticking of the clock,

And the pitter-patter of the soft sand

Have finally come to an end.

This is not the first,

Nor will it be the last,

Despite my wishes, and

despite my tiring,

The clock resets

And the sand flips over

And the End begins once again.
