This past week Kayla and Timmy went on a school trip to Toronto. The sixth and seventh graders went on the trip. The twins have been camping overnight with Scouts and have been to sleepovers. This was their first overnight trip without us outside of Upstate New York. A big deal.

The kids left school at 7:30 in the morning on buses. When they got to Toronto they went on a tour of the Ontario Legislative Building. Next they went to the Ontario Science Centre. The staff at the Centre had some activities for the kids to do. The kids had lunch there in one of the rooms. They saw an IMAX film called the Human Body. We had given them a small amount of money for souvenirs. Kayla bought a stuffed sea lion and Timmy bought a set of playing cards with pictures of animals on them.

That night the kids went on a dinner cruise. They had a nice view of the city skyline from the boat. It was a buffet dinner so they could pick out what they wanted. There was a dj and dancing. The dances at the school are for seventh and eighth graders, so this was Timmy and Kayla's first dance.

That night they stayed in a hotel. It was in downtown Toronto. The twins said it was near the tall buildings. The next morning they had breakfast at the hotel. Afterward they went up in the CN Tower. Then they went to Fort York. They had a tour of the grounds there. They saw buildings from the War of 1812 and talked to people dressed as War of 1812 soldiers. They had lunch in a room at the fort. The twins' favorite part was getting to see and touch a musket.

While Timmy and Kayla were in Toronto, Aaron was here with us. We took him out for ice cream and played Monopoly Jr. He watched Sponge Bob.
