Things have settled down a bit. J isn't being as rude as before, but I'm still a bit twitchy. I don't like riding this roller coaster at all.
I am working at getting the living room cleaned up. I've managed to collect a bag of books to go to the library -- the main branch will take them here -- and I hope to collect a few more bags worth throughout the house. The next clear out project will be going through my clothing and seeing what fits and what doesn't. The stuff in good condition will go to charity, and the rest will either be trashed or turned into rags.
Working away at the book 1177 BC about a cataclysm that brought down the civilizations in the eastern Mediterrean. A very interesting bit on the cargo of a sunk ship, but the rest is dry as dust. Very annoying!
And that is about all right now.
