whirly in 2014

*editor's note: found this in my drafts and realized i never finished or saved it.
so i'm saving it but not finishing it. as you were (today is june 1, btw).

it's mid-may, already. the year is almost halfway OVER, and i just don't know what i've been doing with myself.

oh yeah. raising a wildebeest.

since my last entry:

• our friends josh & mackenzie came to town the weekend of april 24th-27th in honor of the Lebowski Fest. unfortunately, mack got sick after their first night here, so she was basically in recovery mode most of the weekend. we still managed to have an enjoyable time, but i felt terrible for her. they have two young boys and it was basically a parents' weekend for all of us, but she didn't get to partake in many 'adult activities.' but overall, it was great to see them, they are fantastic friends and inspiring parents and we love their faces off.
• the following week i was in the field for a CA lottery project and it was nice and easy. our clients at the Lottery are so lovely.
• the next week was INSANE because my mother-in-law got surgery on May 2nd, and so she has been in recovery mode for a bit. she normally helps us out on tuesdays & thursdays with our little wild man, but she couldn't and both aaron and i were working, so it was just really extremely stressful and busy. BUT! we survived. and we made some extra dough, so it was good.
