Last Saturday we had Aaron's birthday party. My baby boy is nine years old. He wanted his party at a different place than Timmy and Kayla. In the past they've all had their party at the same place. Aaron went to a birthday party for one of his friends from Little League at this place. He loved it and wanted his party there. It is a place with mostly electronic games, while the place where the twins had their parties is electronic games combined with mini golf. This was a big step for Aaron. His personality is developing and he is coming out of the shadow of his big brother and sister.

The kids at the party had a choice of hamburgers or hot dogs, french fries, and juice or punch. A cake was included in the birthday package. The kids each received tokens for the games. They especially liked the racing games. They didn't show much interest in the more violent games. I was glad, because they would have been too mature for nine-year-olds. There was a game where you shot baskets and got tickets for each basket you made. They spent a lot of time playing that game. They also spent some time bowling. The other kids gave Aaron some outdoor toys, a video game, and a 3-d puzzle.

That night we had Aaron's favorite dinner of chicken and rice with lettuce and tomato salad. We all went out for ice cream afterward. Aaron had a twist cone with rainbow sprinkles.

As I was putting him to bed he told me he had a super-duper birthday party.
