dann and i moved into our new apartment last thursday, may 22nd. its been AMAZING being in our space!
some mishaps so far: 1. a giant flying cockroach (yup, those exist!) flew into our bedroom the other night. we trapped it in the window and it is still there. we're not exactly sure how to get it outside...they bite, so we dont want to open the window again! 2. i exploded a glass bread pan on the stove. apparently, they can go in the oven, but you shouldnt heat up meatballs and sauce in them on the stove. literally, i mixed something on the stove, turned around and took two steps forward to work on something else and the thing EXPLODED. i screamed and was out of breath for quite some time. dann was amazing and cleaned up everything and made sure i was alright. 3. key issues. there are 2 doors to enter our building. first, i couldnt open the first door. finally got the front door key on thursday. went to work, came home, got some groceries and when i went to open the second door, i couldnt. had to ring the first floor neighbors we've met to let me in. hoping my key works today!
overall, thats not too bad for living here for a week. i just LOVE our apartment :) i dont even care that its old any more. i love having SPACE!!!!
right now, we need some more furniture. currently, my computer is sitting on an end table. we need a desk, a dresser, a chest of drawers and we need to work on the closets. need to start hanging up my records and pictures and stuff too. im just loving being here!
and the wedding is in 22 days!! we're up to 132 guests. getting close! going to do my makeup trial today. picking up my wedding dress and finishing our gift bags next weekend. exciting stuff!
