Antiphony in Kaniner

You're just sitting there. Maybe leaning back a little. Maybe with a blanket across your legs.

It begins with an 'uhn' that becomes a drone of N's that fly around the room. It is an airplane flying too low, pitch getting higher and louder until it stabilizes at a medium E. For tens of seconds all to living is the sound.

As suddenly as it begins, it stops. Then the shaking begins. A tremor becomes a quake becomes a flail becomes a jerk. There are squishy sounds, like a man choking to death on bubbles. Somehow in your myopic trance you see that on-screen someone is jumping. Jump. Jump. Jump. You are cold and your heart is completely still and you feel nothing.

The jerking subsides, back down to tremors...then down to nothing. Just heavy breathing and exhaustion. The trance is over. There is nothing to say. There is nothing to say, to do or to feel.
