So we went to Canada this summer. No real surprise. We pretty much go to Canada every summer. The kids go to summer camp up near my folks' place. We visit Victoria where Ken's mom lives. We sometimes go to Whistler, or Vancouver, or some other touristy place. We remind our kids that we're Canucks, and try to sing the national anthem a bunch of times.

A cool thing that happened this summer was that Google Plus came out with the online photo editing toolkit while we were away. I took a bunch of throw-away snapshots on the trip, and with a few measly little clicks, turned them into photographs that I was actually pleased with.

Case in point:

I don't know why, but I just love how this one turned out. Maybe it's the residual adrenaline rush that I feel when I remember that I was totally hanging out of the car-deck on the ferry, and could've plummeted to the briny depths if the ferry had jolted while it was coming into the dock.
