Just for the Spending Money in General

The unsettled weather continues here in the northeast. Some low pressure area off the coast keeps moisture cycling. First thing in the morning it was 70F and sunny. I put the recycling bin out and looked up at the sky and though seriously about going to the beach.

They don't open the gates at Popham until 9AM, so I went in and monkeyed around on the computer and listened to the news.

The recycling guy - who is also the trash guy and uses the same truck both days - came by. I went out to bring in the bin and the sky was almost black with clouds.

I certainly don't have a problem with going to the beach in the rain. But, sheesh! A nice sunny day for the first visit is too much to ask for?

Rain spit for a bit. Then the sun came out.

I made the command decision to mow my little lot - the area where I would love to plant tomatoes was almost two feet deep in grass.

The mower came out of its little garage without too much complaint. Cough on the first pull. Then fired right up on the second pull. After spending the late fall through spring basically outside. Never underestimated those Briggs and Stratons.

Bang-shang-a-lang and the yard was mowed before it started sprinkling again. Freshly cut grass always smells wonderful.

Two modules of the MS Project project behind, but I'll get to it. Time to start getting an outline down for the term paper. I have a pretty good idea how Doc thinks, so I'll be fine once the research is done.

I almost want to bag this summer and start again in the fall. But I won't. I've been milking this graduate degree long enough. Time to get it done and get a job.

Just for the spending money.
