Let's see, where do I even begin with the drama that has been defining my life recently?
I came back on the 9:30 ferry from PIB and was home at 12:15. Chris needed me to come by the house and clean out the basement because he said he had looked through it and decided that it was mostly mine. I didn't think that was the case, but hey, he said he looked so who am I to argue? Thankfully roomie agreed to come with me. I was also picking up the kitchen table and a few other miscellaneous items.
So he said I couldn't come over until four because he was moving all of his stuff. Fine. I got there right at four and they were pulling the moving truck out of the driveway. I went downstairs and started sorting through the basement and HOLY. CRAP. It was a mess. I sorted through it and found a few bins with my stuff. But over half of it was garbage. Literally, garbage. There were twelve empty boxes of cat litter. INSIDE a box. Like they were being stored for something? I don't even know. There were bags and boxes full of Chris's clothes from when he was in high school. There was tons of what I like to call apocalypse food. He thought at one point it was a good idea to buy tons of gross canned food and tons and tons of water in case the apocalypse came. Or, worse, the democrats are reelected. Of the stuff that was not garbage, maybe 25% of it was mine.
I was livid. I had four cars full of this stuff. It took us three trips to get it all home. And on top of that, do you realize how difficult it is to throw away THAT MUCH trash?
Thankfully roomie was a good sport about it. If he hadn't been there I would probably still be down there, bawling my eyes out. It was overwhelming.
But, it's done and the house is empty.
As for the other drama in my life...well, that will have to wait until tomorrow when I can write a friends only entry.
