My daughters car, "the beast" has died....a slow, painful death. Now she is insane because she doesn't have transportation. She took my car to work today and my mom is picking me up and taking me to work.
We bought her "the beast" 4 years ago for $1800.00. As far as I am concerned, it lasted longer than I thought.
She is leaving for. Maui on Thursday and when she gets back next week, her and her dad will go car shopping. There are deals out there for new graduates and she has a bit of money for a down payment. But, for the moment, she is flipping out. She doesn't want to have to rely on using my car, knowing that it's difficult on me but as I explained to her, this is what we have to do for the time.
She wants a new car, does not want anyone else's problem and although I understand that, I do t want her to have the debt of a new car, not with the threat of student loans looming in the near future.
As hubby told me, she's 23 years old, has a steady income and can handle this....so...my thoughts are staying in my head.
On top of the broken car nonsense last night, I had to go shopping g for a bathing suit. Very sad. I found two suits, brought them home to try on and I still cannot decide which one is more hideous! Seriously, both are being returned.
I needed a suit because hubby and I are going to Minnesota this weekend for our nephews wedding and the hotel has a gorgeous pool and hubby promised our younger nieces and nephews that they could come to the hotel and swim with us....well, he's on his own with that one! Silly man!

Maybe she can find a newer used car without the large price but still some of the warranty left on it. Hope she can find a good car. LOL on the swimsuit! Hope your hubby has fun in the pool with the kids in the pool alone! :) =^..^=
