I'm biting the bullet and buying a walker... the three-wheeler isn't much use to me because it doesn't have a seat. I need to be able to stop and rest and then I hope I'll be able to spend a lot more time out and about. I was looking on Amazon this morning and lo and behold I found a walker that supports my weight and that comes in COLOURS! Here's where I need your opinions... which combination do you think is more 'me'? A bright pink walker with a pink flowered seat cover... or a more subtle metallic lavender walker with a purple leaf pattern. I found a neat website called crutcheze that sells covers for all kinds of appliances and mobility aids. They're not cheap though... the walker is $75 and the cover's going to be around $40! That's a big investment...

If I was getting this, I would go for purple!

My good, top-opf-the-line walker with padded seat, basket and hand brakes only cost $110 from a medical supply house, where I could try them to find the righ height and seat width. Some seats are very narrow. I don't think I would buy on ine. Too much chance of a bad or uncomfortable fit. Also, they adjusted the handle height for me. Yes, it folds up nicely to go in the car. You will find the wasker is great help. Just don't get the hand rests too low. Low hand rests cause a great risk of slumping and getting "dowager's hump." Hope you find a good one.

The firt is so much more important then the color, but I'm guessing the pink would be the better color for you. Please try it first if you can!
