the concert went very well! i am actually very happy with the result. my orchestra sorta pulled it together. we are getting ready for the spring music festival in harlem the first week of june, so still not over yet!
im just glad everything went smoothly. my 5th graders kinda sucked, but honestly, thats their fault. they cannot be nice to each other and keep their mouths shut long enough for me or any other teacher in the building to give directions. i had to cut them from one song and they honestly didnt sing their other songs that well. the 5th graders blew them out of the water! too many behavior issues with the 5th grade...dont know what to do with them anymore!
friday i let my kiddos watch Frozen. yup! handed out worksheets and mazes to go with them, so at least there was some reading and writing involved. but all in all, it was a nice relaxing friday.
i know this is my teaching book...but im just going to write about my weekend because im not writing 2 entries lol.
saturday i went out with my maid of honor and did some shopping. got some cute new work clothes! i might go back and pick up some more things...my wardrobe needs a overhaul! i feel like i say this every summer, but its true! i hate summer clothes and its difficult to find things that i feel comfortable enough in. everything to too short, too tight and not flattering on me. im just glad i found some nice light teaching clothes. i didnt even sweat today! whoo hoo!
saturday evening dann and i signed our lease! we'll be moving in this thurday. cannot wait!!
now i need to finish my homework, do my reflections about my concert for my principal and my other boss, and get everything ready to go. wednesday is my last day of class and the last time ill need to look at statistics for a LONG time! moving day cannot come soon enough!
