Today is Aaron’s first day of eleventh grade. He told me that he view himself as an upperclassmen now, and that eleventh grade sounds much more mature than tenth grade. We will start looking at colleges later this year. He has been having cross-country practice for two weeks, and they have their first meet this weekend.

Kayla and Timmy went back to university last week. We moved them into their dorms. They have all in person classes this year. Hopefully it will be a more normal year than last year. They like it so far and seemed to have fun this past weekend.

I have not written in a long time. We had a busy summer. The twins did not really get a senior trip last year, so we took a trip this year. In early July we went to New Orleans. We stayed at a hotel in the French Quarter. It was really amazing to see all the preparations for a hurricane that had been put in place since Katrina. It seems like the residents are starting to come back now after this latest hurricane.

We also took some side trips to Mississippi and Texas. After we came back, my dad and brother came to visit. I had not seen them in quite a while and it was great to visit with them again.

I will try to write more later. I hope everyone had a very nice summer.
