Malmesbury is a funny little Wiltshire town. I know it for the Abbey House Gardens, which are adjacent to the now mostly ruined, Malmesbury Abbey. They are owned and maintained by Ian and Barbara Pollard. The gardens are open to the public for most of the year, and 8 or 9 days a year they have 'clothes optional' days. I believe there is something in the air there which brings out the eccentric in people. Last year I read about a naked motorcyclist who was often seen riding round the town. More recently a naked man was reported in a charity shop there. Yesterday I read that a man was spotted there wearing only stockings and suspenders. It's like the smaller, quainter, older brother of San Francisco isn't it.
I was horrified to discover yesterday that The Rednex are a Swedish band. Swedish, can you believe it? I thought they were from darkest Alabama or something. Not only that, they keep the sound consistent with the use of session musicians, and the girl who sang the female part on Cotton Eye Joe (Karin Annika Ljungberg!?) was sacked. My world is turned upside down.
I like robots but these videos terrified the Dragon...
