So get this. A man named Ryan Noval has said that he feels "raped" after a nurse allegedly sealed up his newborn baby's mouth with surgical tape.
This is a phrase that needs to die. Okay, mate, so it's pretty unpleasant to see, your newborn son with his mouth sealed with surgical tape. But you do not feel raped, for fuck's sake, are you fucking serious? How the fuck does that make you feel like you've had a penis forcibly inserted into your rectum? You do not feel "raped". You feel like someone attacked your child. These are not the same feeling. I don't give a fuck who you are or how special your sprog is. Unless you've been raped, you can't say that you feel like you've been raped every time something you disagree with happens. Okay, so it's a pretty fucked up thing to do to a kid, sealing it's mouth up with tape, but you feel raped? I can't get over that. You feel like you've been raped. Incredible.
His exact words were "I feel raped as a parent." Seriously. He feels raped, to which my immediate response, and every subsequent response I've had to this bizarre choice of words, is DON'T BE SO FUCKING STUPID.
What with people describing how they feel about the new Turtles movie as Michael Bay "raping" their childhoods, I have to say - stop using these words to describe something that is mildly uncomfortable, you fucking idiots. Seriously.
