So today I, finally, saw Ekskursante, the Lithuanian film though, as you could see from the trailer, most of the dialogue was in Russian since most of the events took place there. It was not as uber-sad as I expected, it had a lot of hope behind the terrible realities. Definitely a good film and what really struck me was why can't we make good films like this? Shame really. Also the cinema website said that it was based on true events but I can't find anything online about the film so I don't know.

So far The Ghost by Robert Harris seems interesting and so far I have no idea what the plot will be about. It's supposed to be some secret of Lang's but I have no idea what will it all come to be. The Sun King by Nancy Mitford seems to have a light, casual style. Honestly I expected a more detail heavy biography but we'll see what we can learn from this. And to be absolutely honest the only reason I go into royal biographies is precisely the details about court life and daily life of royal and noble people of the time. I think social history interests me far more than anything else.

Eurovision was kind of a disappointment. Quo Vadis Europe. But my favourites are mostly unchanged.
