Arnold Jehoshaphat Fassbinder but you can call me Sparky or Sparky J. I know it sounds like one of those nicknames; call the fat guy Tiny or the slow guy Speedy. But I swear it’s not like that, I’m not dim. I got the nickname back in middle school, last day of eighth grade. JFK, that’s the name of the school, named after the president, not the airport or the conspiracy, but, c’mon, one shooter? I don’t think so.
Anyhow, there was this tradition, the graduating class pulled some prank. I didn’t know some kids had planned on running the Vice Principals sport coat up the flag pole. That would have been ok with me, I didn’t know. So I flushed some M-80’s down the boys room tolit. The guy who sold em to me said the fuses were water proof. He didn’t say if I flushed two down each tolit I might crack the water and sewage main to the whole neighborhood.
Sparky. As in voted most likely to get the Chair, you know, the electric chair, corporal punishment. Nothing like that happened. I did have to volunteer all that summer, but since then I’ve never been caught at anything. My attorney says if I’m not Caught I don’t have to mention it and you can’t make me.
