Today was a rather busy one for me. I am, more or less, homebound, due to the fact that I can't see very well any more and I need a cane to help keep me from falling. Every six months, my partner and I trundle off to the dentist, for cleanings and checkups, which make headaches where our teeth are concerned a lot smaller. Today, the news was all good -- I need to go back in a couple of weeks for a minor repair, but there is nothing awful going on, and that causes me all sorts of relief.
Then it was off to the discount furniture store, where I bought a new chair. It's one of those recliners that has a little motor to lift and tilt the chair to make it easier to get in and out of. It's discouraging to be at that point in my life, but if it will ease the pain, I'm all for it.
Finally, we made a stop at the local Olive Garden for lunch. It wasn't too bad, for a commercial food chain, but it wasn't bad. I had a mushroom filled ravioli that had good flavour and tooth to it, so I was happy. By the time we got home, I was pretty well wiped out and fell asleep in my-soon-to-be-departed chair. Yes, I was that tired.
So I am running a little behind on catching up with everyone today. But I will try to.
