Warning: If you are offended, too Goddamn bad.

On April 15th, 2014, approximately 276 Nigerian female students were abducted by a group of armed militants from the Government Girls Secondary School in the town of Chibok in Borno State, Nigeria. In the following days, Nigerian officials speculated that the Islamic jihadist terrorist group Boko Haram may have been behind the kidnappings and criticism of the Nigerian government’s inaction and Western media’s lack of coverage emerged. On April 23rd, the hashtag #BringBackOurGirls was first tweeted out by lawyer Ibrahim M. Abdullahi and spread through Twitter users in Nigeria. As of May 4th, more than 40% of the hashtag activity came from the United States. As of May 6th, 2014, the hashtag has been tweeted out over 1.2 million times.

Nothing finer than internet activists.

There's even a petition to sign, although fuck knows who you're going to give it to. But here's my question. Do you seriously think that Boko Haram give a flying fuck about a hashtag or a petition? More to the point, do you seriously fucking believe that you are making some kind of difference, to this or any other "cause", simply because you tweeted a remonstration with a hashtag? Jesus, the conceit!

Just like sharing pictures on Facebook doesn't actually fucking beat cancer, making a hashtag post on Twitter doesn't mean you're some kind of fucking revolutionary freedom fighter. The 50 or so girls who have escaped this Nigerian group of nutters didn't do it because of your fucking tweets. They probably don't even know what Twitter fucking is.

Goddamn, you people have some fucking high-ass opinions of yourselves! You wanna help? Go over there with a fucking army of mercs and free them yourself. Hopefully you'll get your motherfucking head cut off.

Otherwise, stop patting yourselves on the back, grab a huge-ass length of rope and try and get over yourselves.

Twitter/Facebook twats. Go fuck yourself with an Occulus Rift.

Now. If you were butthurt by this entry, there are two things to remember. One, I don't care, and two, I really don't care. But here, watch this, maybe you'll stop crying and smile a little.
