Here's the good news: I managed to get the old LG TV working for optimal Xbox performance. But here's the bad news: the remote's gone walkies so I have to deal with 16:9 ratio. But here's the good news: The picture quality and framerate is perfect. But here's the bad news: this TV is fucking huge and is taking up mucho space. But here's the good news: I also got the Gamecube to work with no problems whatsoever. But here's the bad news: I'm missing a memory card. But here's the good news: I doubt I'll be playing on that piece of crap for long anyway. But here's the bad news: I can't sell it without a fuckin' memory card.

This was the whole point of me cleaning up and restoring the consoles. We're so fucking catered for nowadays with tech that we expect a few things; built-in or replaceable hard-drives are one of them.

Never mind. If there isn't one lying around the flat someplace (and there could well be - five rooms full of junk = it has to be here somewhere. Ditto the LG remote. Not to worry, though. I'm not expecting much from the Gamecube in any case. It's the Xbox and the enormous catalogue of games I have that will actually fetch money.

We also appear to have two spare TVs, although it's doubtful anyone would want to buy these things. They're fucking huge, and not just the screen - these are old-school analogue TVs and they are massive.

Anyway, off to do more important stuff. Like play video-games and get paid for it OH THE JOY.
