Writing for Slowpoke in Slowing Down

Bird of Paradise speaking....... My Mom Slowpoke, has not been on due to her failing Eyesight. I wasn't sure what she wanted me to share so I have not.. I did secure her name on Easy Diary for WHEN she is able to return.

She feels like her readers have a right to know what has become of her.... cause well we all wonder, don't we, when one seems to go poof!

She was on the OD for about 13 years. She had xx many people on her friend's list ( continue to seek them either here or E.D.).

I bought her a new computer in August of 2013 after being computer-less for many many months, Windows 8.. a new culture to learn for some. She is not one to adjust to change in her older age very well. One of the really annoying things is it wants you to sign in to you OWN Computer. YOUR Computer!!! Well for whatever reason this stupid Sign In keeps messing up and she has to have someone (usually my brother or I who comes once a year) to contact whoever to get an new password. Of all the people to need a password on their computer's it is not her. She has NEVER in 13 years saved anything to HER computer. There is NOTHING to protect.

So that is where she is with that, BUT ALSO... she is at this point Legally Blind. She is now seeing a Doctor and in June she is going to have an operation to save the right eye; the left eye is pretty gone. Course we are hoping for the best.

She is glad I have secured her name and she HOPES to be able to get back in to connecting with her OD Readers/Friends at some point. She misses you all.

I will update after she has the eye operation in June. (Not clear on that date.. she has a Cough that the doc has to get under control first).
