Queen's speech in The View from the Terrace

I watched the state opening of parliament yesterday. I was really impressed by the queen when she gave her speech. She was so clear and focused. She is 95 and it’s only a month since she lost her life partner.

Elizabeth is an impressive woman. I do admire her although her reserve has come across as being cold and unfeeling often.

She has never wavered from that sense of duty throughout her whole life. Born for that job.
