My primary printer is a household printer, so everyone can use it, but I, by far, do the most printing on it. It's a lovely laser color printer and I love it. I like to print my notes for exams because I study better on paper than on a computer, but need to take notes on my laptop because if I didn't my hands would fall off. The printer likes to keeps stats on itself and, frighteningly enough, it has printed roughly 14,500 pages since I bought it slightly more than two years ago. I knew I printed a lot for school but holy crap! When I'm a real person with money I think I'm going to have to give money to pro-tree organizations to make up for my vet school printing habits.
In slightly less horrifying news (sort of), this is an assignment I have for my Reproductive Diagnostics class:
Compose a poem or song about reproductive examination of the mare and/or stallion OR ram and/or ewe OR buck and/or doe OR macho and/or hembra (that's male and female South American camelids respectively). Rules: it has to be your own work it has to be at least 10 lines it has to rhyme While it can/should be anatomically correct it has to be "clean" for songs indicate the appropriate tune. Tunes from songs released before 1990 preferred but not required (think of the age of the person grading...) if composing an original melody include music written in standard notation or tab.
I think it would be really funny to do it to the tune to Bohemian Rhapsody, but I think attempting that might be over extending myself. Any song suggestions?
I've started my semesterly to-do list of doom. I usually implement it around finals time but there are just so many ridiculous things to keep track of this semester and I need all the help I can get. I have a Word doc I keep adding to and it is so satisfying to strikethrough line after line.
Aaron and I met Genevieve at Hazel's for brunch today and it was wonderful, food-wise and company-wise. I find it so hard to be social when in school but I always enjoy it when I hang out with friends, however brief it may be (unless I have an impending exam. Then I'm a mess). I needs me my Genevieve!
I need to finish up so note organization and then head to bed. Mmm...sleep
