Headache from hell in All kinds of nonsense spewing forth

My princess started with a nasty headache on Sunday afternoon. We thought it was just lack of food, running around in the windy cold weather all day at special Olympics. She was chilled to the bone, so was I. By Sunday night, she had a slight fever and terrible body aches and the headache blew into a migraine.

She didn't go to school on Monday but had to go yesterday for her final evaluation....so, she took excedrin migraine (which made her sick to her stomach) and went to school.

The evaluation went really well, she did great, and then her cooperating teacher told her that she looked terrible and to please go home...so she did.

We have tried every migraine relief trick in the book and nothing is working yet.

We read somewhere that you should out your feet In Warm water and put an ice pack on the back of your neck....so, she sat on the vanity in the bathroom with her feet in a sink full of warm water and a bag of frozen peas on her neck....because she was weak, she kept on tipping over so I stood in front of her so that she wouldn't fall off the vanity.

We laughed so much over that, even tho her head was hurting so terribly.

That is one of my favorite things about her, she finds humor in everything!

Last night, after tons of liquids and a four hour nap, she seemed to feel so e relief. She got up this morning and said it wasn't quite as bad but she still looks terrible. Very pale, eyes swollen....she has meetings all day today, no interaction with the kids so she is pretty sure she will be able to make it thru the day.

I did call our doctor and he seems to feel that it's a virus and there is nothing to do but wait it out.

It is so difficult to watch her suffer.

As far as her evaluation, on a scale of 1-5, with five being the best, she got all 4's and 5's. Very impressive!
