Weary in Daily Grind

I've been put into the position to breathe life into a couple of ladies lives. They are both in bone-crushing, desperate situations. Offering encouragement to one, and practical help to the other (as I live across the street from the latter) is a blessing to ME to be able to do.

But it is also overwhelmingly draining.

Empathy is a double edged sword.

My heart breaks for these ladies. It makes me look at my life and realize how much I take for granted (I have FURNITURE and a TRASH CAN) and reevaluate what I "need". I know better than to compare my life and "stuff" (physical, emotional, spiritual, you name it) to others, but it is good to be able to take a step back and say "Whoa, Brianna, you are well taken care of, chill."

17 days till I go to Little Rock to visit my sister and her baby. She is nearly 40 weeks along now.

Cramps suck hard.

That's it for now, I guess.
