Boats & Beer in Two Thousand & Fourteen

I always log on thinking I am going to write a lot, but I just end up missing Open Diary. I need to get back in a habit of writing though. Last Saturday was an awesome day. One of the most awesome days we've had together. Me and Shane were invited to his married friend's 1 year old's birthday party at the park. We ended up inviting most all of his close friends to his aunt and uncle's, that live on the river, which is where we were headed after the birthday party. His mom and dad were there, and we all just hung out on the huge pier that over looks a good part of the river. His dad brought his boat and I was really the only one that showed interest in wanting to go for a boat ride. I had also decided since I'm 25 it was time for me to try beer for the first time, and when his dad made the boat go fast I held up my beer and yelled really loud "I'm ON A BOOOAATT!!" and his family and friends were on the pier laughing at me, cause I don't typically do stuff like that, normally I'm more of an observer and not so much a participant, but I genuinely had a great time and made a great memory with his dad. His family and friends are just so easy to be around, they feel like home. Then later when me, his mom, his aunt, and his friend's girlfriend all went to the liquor store, she told his mom that she wished she could have a relationship with her boyfriend's mom like me and Shane's mom have. Where we talk about everything and laugh at stupid stuff. We were both like "awww" so that was sweet. We plan to go back very soon, and I can't wait. I can tell it is going to be a very fun summer, and it's going to be awesome :)
