Yes, I’m in the bath... in Hot town, summery in the city - 2017

I think that’s where I muse the best. Anywho. I have been musing on my blood doning: my 3rd since the start of Covid in England. But this time I felt something I hadn’t felt before and it was the pure joy and connectedness; of being near people. I know the staff are tested frequently, I know they have to be near me for me to donate and it was so nice to have the nurse jab a needle into my arm while standing just an inch away from me. It was so comforting as the staff walked by and had a quick check at how my donation was going and to ask me if I was okay. So lovely when a trainee removed it all, poor thing was physically shaking and kept checking her list and I chatted with her and thanked her to keep her calm.

That human contact was just so needed.

So perfect while it happened.

I like being a pack animal and I can’t wait until my pack is all together again.
