I have a rare quiet day working from home.

We are building a new house in town overlooking the river and I am waiting for furniture to arrive. Last few months been picking tiles, appliances and other sundry parts of a new home.

Daughter is back to work next week after Australia Day holiday. Son is now deployed so I am anxious ALL the time. Only six months to go :(.

We are having a rare cool day in the midst of the usual tropical summer. But the fan still swirls. Habit I guess. I am 20 Kg overweight and feel yuk. Simply can’t yet flick to mental switch to drop the weight. When the switch goes I will lose all that in 20 weeks, but in doing so become quite manic!

We are soooo lucky here with the Pandemic. Our region has had 3 cases in 200000 people. We are lucky as a country we are an Island but, I shake my head at the piecemeal and incomplete way the USA, UK and Europe (and basically the rest of the world except NZ) have dealt with this. You have to be all in or not. Late and wimpy lockdowns and mixed messages on social distancing. Economically Australia has recovered fully from the drop last year and the stupid Chinese Communist Party with their poorly designed ‘embargo’ has meant our exports revenue has actually increased and we are quickly diversifying away from being so reliant on China to import our commodities. And the one commodity they really need is now costing them a truckload more due to price instability caused by their very stupid behaviour. Got to love geo-political karma!!!!!!!!!
