And Now, the Broken Promises in Life After 60

My readers know that I am a Red, U.S. Flag Waving, Republican. So let me get onto the rat killing.
Biden in the last few days of the campaign stated Trump had mishandled the Covid outbreak and that He, (Biden) had a plan to take care of it. So now that the socialist demographics have succeeded in putting Biden/Harris in office, let’s see how many promises they keep. Oh, and I am still waiting for the magic bullet Biden has for Covid. Ah yes, I forgot, it is we are going to wear a mask for the first 100 days. Makes perfect sense to me since we have pretty much been doing that since March of 2020. But I am sure Biden/Harris has a special mask to give us all!
Gun sales are up again, as well and a shortage of, yep, you guessed it ammo. And for those who may have forgotten, the Democrats have already been pushing for a tax increase in guns by 30% and ammo by 50%. (https://lockerroom.johnlocke.org/2020/11/19/probing-the-cost-of-a-biden-gun-tax/). I have included the link for those who doubt me or maybe too lazy to Google it themselves.
My second amendment right not only guarantees my right to bear arms, but it also requires the states to maintain “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” And now along comes the Democrats who want to take away those rights.
The question of why does anyone need a gun capable of firing 25+ rounds with enough power to travel through a concrete wall is simple. To defend my life and property from those who would like to harm me.
The Democrats were screaming to give everyone another round of stimulus checks. Now that cry is being compromised. So all of you folks who voted for socialism, free education, free medical care, let me know how you like it in four years!

So, you think a gun will protect you from intentional harm? You're delusional. And too scared of bogey men! What is socialism? You mean a country distributing the collected taxes on the citizens instead of corporations and taxing corporations instead of citizens?

I know for a fact if you come to my house with the intention to harm me you will leave in a body bag. And if you don't think so, you are what' wrong with this country. But I can tell by your views you are a Democrat and think the country owes you a living, an education, and free health care. I like my odds with my AR-15 at a hundred yards and my Smith and Wesson 40 Cal up close! That way you can see it coming.

You've already lost the non-argument. I possess no political views, only logic. As a veteran of the military, yes, the country "owes" me all that and more. Nobody is scared of your big, bad guns! You've watched too much TV.

I see what you mean, especially about the mask wearing. I have been wearing a mask since March myself and with the efforts of you and I combined the virus really should be conquered by now (if it ever existed in the first place, same folks who were cheating in the 2016-2020 elections, I'll warrant) There might be some who say we have tons of people not wearing masks and gathering indoors, but what kind of sense does that make when you and I are wearing masks? How on earth did New Zealand get the virus under control, and if all of them are wearing masks and avoiding indoor gatherings why is the US still in danger?

Got to agree with you about the 2nd amendment too. I am really not sure why we limit weapon sales at all. If I could defend my home with a semi-auto just think how well I could defend my life with a machine gun. Perhaps a judicious use of land mines to defend the perimeters of my estate; I could integrate training for this kind of weaponry in my well-regulated militia. I followed that link that you offered about gun taxes, cause goodness knows we all hate taxes. John Locke no less! I followed the hyperlinks to the story source and funny how I did not find one mention of taxes in either the gun industry link or the Biden campaign link. I am sure this is due to some kind of socialist chicanery.

I like the way you think! Personally, I think I should be able to use whatever measures I deem necessary to defend my property and myself. Those liberal sissy pants in the North East and California can surrender their freedoms and guns if they want. The Grand Ole South is ready to rise again if need be. They can have my gun's barrel end first with a fast-moving projectile coming their way or after they pry it from my cold dead hands! (I love your profile picture)

Glad you like the photo, I am generally better looking in the morning. Even better that we agree on the right to protect your life. Take for example that massacre in Las Vegas a few years back. In the investigation it was discovered that hotel security may not have been vigilant as they ought when Paddock brought in 23 guns and thousands of rounds of ammunition into his hotel room. I don't know what they mean by poor security, I'd say it was pretty poor customer service! That poor man had to drag all that equipment up 32 floors without so much as a nod from a bellhop. And it is certainly understandable why Paddock would need all that protection, he was checking in right in the middle of a music festival. Music attracts liberal sissy pants from all over the nation, anyone of which might have wished poor Paddock harm.
