They got cars big as bars... in Hello.

Rob is here. 😃 He was supposed to come next week, but all his housemates were going home this week and he was going to be on his own, so asked if he could come home a bit earlier. We went to pick him up yesterday. My parents weren’t aware he was coming, so it was nice when he turned up on their doorstep this afternoon and surprised them. I had messaged Rob when I was leaving work today to tell him what time I’d be there (I park my car on my parents’ drive), and proceeded to wait in my car. Unfortunately my mam had been out shopping and came home and saw me on her drive. She invited me into the house and I thought it would be a bit odd if I said no, so that kind of scuppered my plan! So when he showed up on the doorstep my dad was saying “did you know he was here??!” and I had to laugh and say “yeah, I spent 7 hours driving to pick him up!”
Today was my last day in the warehouse. There really wasn’t much to do, I was working with our brand ambassador, making up boxes. It got to about 1.30 and we’d run out of jobs, so the warehouse manager told us we could go home if we wanted to. I’m on flexi-furlough anyway, so it didn’t really make that much difference to me going home 2.5 hours early. It was a shame though because I’d started talking to one of the guys who worked there about music. We seemed to have very similar tastes and every time he walked past, he’d ask me if I like this band and that band and it was generally yes! I’ve added him as a FB friend now.
I bought myself some reading glasses. Game changer. I was in Carlisle TK Maxx buying some bits and saw them on a stand. I didn’t want to touch lots of pairs, so picked out a pair in my strength and PURPLE.... and I suited them. I want to get some vintage 70s cateye style ones but there’s no rush. I keep forgetting I need them, until I put them on. Can’t walk in them though! 😅
