Well it seems I needn’t have been nervous about working in the warehouse at all! Everyone was lovely and we were all spaced out. I arrived 2 hours after everyone else so everyone already had a job when I got there, so I was on housekeeping, breaking down boxes and shredding them, emptying bins, making sure everyone doing the packing had enough supplies, and picking a few orders. I was chuffed because a couple of head office staff knew who I was. Kirsty, head of marketing, told me she enjoyed looking at my photos on Instagram and Helen, who does payroll and I’ve never met, asked how Rob was getting on at uni. We listened to music all day and Kirsty came round with cups of tea, doughnuts and sausage rolls. Looking forward to going in next week now!
Eleanor is trying to teach herself clarinet. Shellie gave it to us ages ago, but it’s just been sitting in the cupboard. She’s only had it upstairs half an hour and I can already hear notes wafting down the stairs!
