for Thanksgiving. Number One: We are once again under restrictions about who and where and how many people can be there. Number Two: Son and his wife still haven’t decided whether or not they will go to her mom’s in North Dakota and the boys have other plans. Number Three: Restaurants are closed for inside dining and it is pretty chilly for a picnic. I told Bob we were going to skip it. He said it was okay if I didn’t want to celebrate Thanksgiving, but he wanted to and he would “cook” the turkey.
I laughed.
Next thing I knew he had a flyer from the supermarket spread out and was on the computer ordering a pre-cooked Thanksgiving dinner. The smallest option was for like 6 people.
Click, click and his order was confirmed to be picked up Wednesday afternoon.
I sent an email to daughter -in-law telling her that we had dinner covered if they didn’t go north. They could come over here, or we could bring it over to their house. Her reply was that they still didn’t know what they were doing so we are playing it by ear.
(Sidebar) I got a call from the store saying that they had sent me a message that they had run out of Thanksgiving dinners and had canceled our order!!! I never got that message. But, she continued to say I should disregard that message because someone had canceled their order and we would get theirs.
Why does everything have to be so dang hard?

Thanksgiving will never be quite the same after this pandemic.

Neither were we. I had cottage cheese on a half an avocado. We were together. Hugs.
