When you have to take the broom out with you in the morning to sweep the snow off the car because the garage is filled with alfalfa seed.

The clearing and three strips of the remaining rented land will be seeded down this year.

Seeded down is like tying up. It's a figure of speech.

Ugh. It is all melted here, but chance of snow here tomorrow.

Such a different way of life than what I'm used to. Drought and more drought here. It's already hot.

Tick Tock Tick April 15, 2014

At about dawn I awoke (no shades) and gasped at the white covered trees. Later the wind blew hard and the front row of lacy trees blew one way and the back row blew the other. A ballet outside my bedroom window! Ha. / Still "Greek to me," typing up? / Listening to "The Other Side of the Bridge" on WPR. Do you ever listen at 11:00 PM? Today the Father was crushed the first time he drove a tractor, given to him by his neighbor to use while they went to Stockholm after losing two sons in WWII. There is also youthful lust in the book, so you know it's not all depressing!

Remarkable photographs. Yes, you live the good life in a beautiful place.

The snow came here but did not stick. It's cold and damp though.. Two days ago it was 70 degrees. Crazy !

I noticed the title was sign of spring... only ONE. I hope this means there's no sign of drought this summer.

It snowed here overnight. It's gorgeous, absolutely stunning, along the creek when it snows, but I'd rather see the mud. Sigh.....
