hey everyone.
I’ve returned from my self isolation.
I have recently decided to join a dating website that turned out to be really nothing but a hookup site, but almost immediately I started receiving messages which I’ve never experienced before. But in those early messages I was referred to “a man of a certain age” which I think means “an old fart”. Yeah, thanks for that lady!
I mean I certainly know that in the world of he web I am considered ancient, especially on a dating site so I don’t need to be reminded that the rear exit of life is getting near.
On the 1st of September I had my birthday. I turned 53 years old. Now I understand he current life expectancy is 78 years here in the U.S.. That means I am 67.0% of the way there. Which leaves me over 30 years left. Now, maybe the female of our species is looking forward to me death date, but y’all want me dead early, but DAMN, y’all expect me to forfeit over 30 years of living? C’mon now!
I’ll admit that seeing the comments did leave me in a bit of a down mood for awhiile, but such is life. It probably has more to do with the lonliness in my life than it does my age. So I am over the age thing. I’m fine.
But I don’t know when the world changed. Used to be you would give a girl your contact info and she would give you hers if you were interested in a date. But here on the site, the women, regardless of their age, all claim that they would rather stay on-site where each message cost money to send messages. Even when the knew my limited income due to the stroke an being the lone caregiver o my elderly handicapped mother, they would insist on keeping communication on-site. So I am refusing to message anyone here ever again. I figure if they won’t send an email or talk on the phone and I had already provided my info, it is hard to understand how they complain that they would be vulnerable. The thig that I found fonny is I feel he entire site is 1 big scam for us lonely folk. Each woman I communicated wih has seemed to be following a script of sort. Like they are coached o say certain things in order to convince the guys to buy more and more credits which “spend” is where I had to draw the line.
So I guess this is the end of the line for me. No more dreaming of finding a woman or expressing my feelings for a woman, they all have ended up with other guys anyway. They really don’t want to be with me.

I absolutely believe some of those women work for those sites to keep guys paying . When I helped my son set up his profiles on dating sites, we ditched those sites pretty quickly. Most girls he talked to were glad to go offsite after a couple of days, if things were going well.
Glad to see an entry from you
