Miles just turned 8 months the other day and the poor little guy has been sick with a cold for almost a month now. A month! That's just insane to me. Most of the time he's just been congested and extra tired but he also had a fever for a couple days, diarrhea off and on and starting yesterday his nose has been running like crazy and he has been coughing now and then. I weigh and measure him every month and because he has been sick and nursing less and eating less solids he actually lost half a pound over the last month. That makes me a bit sad. Babies are supposed to gain weight steadily, not lose it. He's only grown an inch in the last 2 months too. I know he's still a decent size at 17.5lbs and 26.5 inches at 8 months but still. I just want my healthy baby back!
Cody caught the same cold as Miles when he first got it, then got better and now has another cold again as of yesterday. He was feverish all day today so for part of the day he seemed normal and the rest of it he was extra cranky and didn't want to est anything. So yeah, add in the fact that they have been waking up at 6 or 6:30 for the day lately and clearly I am having a rough time at the moment. I find it especially tough when Miles refuses to nurse. Today he had a feeding at 4:30am and then wouldn't nurse again until 1pm! I hate it when he does that. My boobs were so full and it just makes me feel awful.
Anyway, on that cheery note (lol) I am going to bed cuz these kids seriously poop me out! I had more to say but my eyes are closing.
