6. You’re Going To/Never Going To Move Away Because…

I do not see me relocating out of Tennessee in the future but nothing is off the table, in my opinion. Since I am physically unable to work, there is nothing holding me here. Sure, I have an aunt, uncle and some cousins in the area but we cannot be considered as close. No, I actually had to lick my uncle out of my apartment because he either lacked the ability or the common sense to observe personal boundaries by acting as though he was entitled to know my personal budgeting activities and force feeding his opinions as to what I should be doing, as though he is some sort of fiscal genius or something. Hey Robert, STAY IN YOUR LANE! If nobody asked your opinion, nobody feels the need to hear it. I am the head of this household, not you!

Enough of my ranting.

No, I really enjoy it here in Tennessee. Since a career move doesn’t appear to be in the future for me, it would probably be love that would drive me to relocate.

What kept me here for 15 years, was that Tennessee does not have a state income tax. Plus houses and property are much cheaper than it is out in California where I had spent 35 years. I could , and still do, see a future for me here when I couldn’t, and still don’t see a future for me in California.

However, I do keep my options open. I am not tied here, just anchored. Itwill take some major convincing me to relocate me from here.

I love the sense of history here, the general personality and decency of folks in the south or the mid-south that are in Tennessee and the surrounding areas. The state is very beautiful geography too. As far as the history, I mean from civil war battlefields to national historical landmarks and the access to major music attractions and opportunities.

TENNESSEE IS WONDERFUL!

If I had love in the area or a very strong friendship I’d be willing to say it is perfect for me.

The climate, due to the humidity in the summer months, leaves a bit to make it ideal for me, but it is endurable, for me.

I really do love it here.
