It's Been Awhile in Trying to stay one step ahead

I knew I hadn’t written in a long time but didn’t realize it has been 3 years. Some things have changed but other things are still the same. Mom is still doing pretty good. She is 96 now and I have been able to see her through her window. When she can get the window open we chat but she is bored as no one can go in which means their activities are mostly stopped. I now have 2 grandchildren in cadets my granddaughter has learned how to play the bagpipes and is the pipe major and my oldest grandson plays the snare drums. They were supposed to go to Europe this spring but Covid 19 put a stop to that. Both our dogs have passed on and we are not looking for another one at least not right now. My husband finally retired and it has been a lot better than I thought it would be although Thank God they have opened the golf course. I had a pacemaker put in last summer and that has made my life a lot better now if I could lose 50 lbs. I’d be all set.
