onslaught in a reflection

you a multitude of rivers
converging
crashing cascading
i would stand against
your onslaught
dug into your earth
bracing
for the way you had
rained away before
yet here you are
fingertips away
breathing
searing
lingering
and i am
longing for
the way you slip over
worlds
yearning
for the moment i
hear you
coming
when i
drench you
draping you in
night
