Behemoth v the small in Hot town, summery in the city - 2017

I am now the proud owner of a treadmill.

It was a smooth pickup, albeit as far from us in this town as it’s possible to get without leaving! I knew it would be a close call to fit it in the car, even with all the seats down, but had planned on putting the wide part at the front because of the slope at the very back of the car.

This is not my car but is the same model, that slopey bit at the back wasn’t high enough.

Anyway, the treadmill was too heavy to pick it up that way so we ended up bungeeing the boot closed!! There’s one steep hill between there and here, R actually held on to the treadmill as we went up, just in case it slipped out 🤣🤣

We got home without any police stopping us, thank goodness!! And once back, we slid and swung it back out, got the dettol and damp cloths from the plastic bag we were carrying them in, sprayed it, wiped it, sprayed it and wiped it. We got that mofo clean!

Gloves were put in the bin and we came in, washed hands and stripped off, clothes straight in the machine and then we put clean clothes on.

We then looked at the door, looked at the treadmill and decided, just to amuse ourselves, that we should measure them both, Despite it being obviously way too big.

The doorway (including the space the open door takes up) was 72cm and the treadmill? 86cm wide 🤣🤣

So we turned it on its side. That way around it was only a centimetre too wide… we got it almost in, just the wheels at the bottom made it too wide.... so we took them off. The treadmill slid in, we stood It up, replaced the wheels and pushed the sofa up in front of it.

I’ll try it tomorrow once I’ve got over the workout that was bringing it home 🏃🏻‍♀️
